Replaces the now (2017) missing Subaru altimeter

In 2017, the Subaru Forester XT Touring (and supposedly all the others) has missing the formerly present, and helpful to me, altimeter from its map application.
When I asked a salesman regarding this, I knew we were in trouble when he "earnestly" asked, "What is an altimeter?"
